Our mission
Our mission is to add value. We pick up donations for free, find the items worth more than a thrift-store price, and sell them so every donation does more good.
How it works
Tell us what you have
Fill out the form or send us a text with your address and a quick list of items.
We pick up
We confirm a time and collect everything from your porch, which is our preferred spot. No need to be home.
We sort and share
We set aside items we can resell. The rest goes to a local thrift store.
Where your donation goes
- Items we can resell are sold on eBay, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp. Half of the profit goes to a local charity, and half goes to our kids' college funds.
- Everything else goes to a local thrift store.

We can't take
- Furniture
- Items that are broken, stained or need repair
- Car seats, cribs and other children's safety gear
- Anything our local thrift store doesn't accept

Getting ready for pickup
- Bag or box your items so they're easy to carry.
- Set them on your porch or by your door, in the spot we agree on by text.
- Keep personal papers and valuables out of the bags. If you're donating a phone, tablet or computer, wipe your data first.
- If rain is forecast, set items just inside a covered porch or garage.
Porch pickup is preferred. If that won't work for you, let us know and we'll figure something out.

Does it cost anything?
No. Pickup is free.
Do you sell my items?
Some of them, yes. We look through everything for items we can resell, and the rest goes to a local thrift store. The details are under "Where your donation goes."
Do I need to be home?
No. Leave your items on the porch or by the door and we'll confirm the spot with you by text.
How soon will you come?
Pickup times change from week to week. We'll text you to set a time after you send your request.
What if I'm outside your area?
Text or email us. We may be able to help, or point you to another option.
Can I get a tax receipt?
Donation Movers is an informal effort, not a registered nonprofit, so we can't issue receipts and gifts to us aren't tax-deductible.
How do you use my information?
Only to schedule and complete your pickup. We never sell or share your name, address or phone number.
